But no sooner than they meet than a stranger leads them on a mysterious journey they did not expect.

Before they can drink, a vicious murder and a motley crew of suspects will ensure that there is no sleep tonight.

Heard that one before?

As the cooked meats are brought to the table, a mysterious package is delivered by courier that may or may not spell doom or salvation for the city.

The Church of Abel teaches that the old legends and myths aren't true. There is no magic. Dragons do not exist.

But you are one of the few in the world of Gaia who knows better. There is magic in the world of Gaia and always has been. You may be a warrior whose skill in battle is so expert it verges on the supernatural. Or a Summoner, who has always had an affinity with beings that should not exist. Maybe a Martial Artist who has been able to tap into her own inner Ki to be able to perform acts of incredible physical prowess. Or A Psychic able to tap into other's minds.

Whoever you are, Omens have drawn you to Archangel, the capital city of Abel. Seat of the Church and home of the Empress. Beneath the zepplins, the elaborate spires of the city and the cobbled streets you know something ancient is stirring. Millennia old secret societies are moving their pieces in place and an ancient cult is gathering.

Anima is a high fantasy adventure game with a mix of magic, technology and pulp action.

Dare you face the Disciples of the Dragon Prince?

LARP: A Royal Celebration

Facilitator:
Nik Crombie

A Royal Celebration - created by John Kim.

The crown prince of Florin is due to be married to the daughter of their greatest enemy. The kingdom prepares to rejoice in a celebration of impending peace. Behind the scenes, though, the castle is buzzing with rumors that disguised pirates are among the guests.

This is a comedic fantasy larp, in the spirit of The Princess Bride with nods to A Midsummer Night's Dream along with Monty Python and the Holy Grail. There is real intrigue and adventure, but also outrageous talents and improbable plot contrivances. The content will be suitable for both adults and teens.

Facilitator's note: This might seem like a fairly costume intensive larp, but for those who decide to drop in at the last minute (or don't want the hassle of making/finding a costume) , I'll have a box of random costuming for you to choose from.

Characters:
Alaric: Steward of the royal palace of Florin.
• Avery: aka "The Amazing Avery." Magician and advisor to General Granville. He is reknowned for his powerful magic, though his motivations are mysterious.
• Baldwin: Younger princeling of Florin.
• Barnabas: An enterprising and feared pirate captain, rival of the Dark Pirate Stevens.
• Barnes: Director of a famed theater troupe.
• Bernadot: Queen of Florin. An arranged marriage with the older Herberunt when he inherited the throne.

• Ferdinand: Captain of the palace guard. An older knight not known for his wits, with ambitions to be a playwright.
• Granville: Top general of Gilder, guardian of Lady Naeva.
• Guildenstern: A noble of the palace guard, an immigrant of Denmark who had fled the political troubles there.
• Harmon: Crown prince of Florin.
• Herberunt: The elderly King of Florin, who inherited the throne 19 years ago when his brother Humphrey was lost at sea.
• Humphrey: Former King of Florin, younger brother of Herberunt. Lost at sea while returning from his extended honeymoon on the Isles of Splendor.
• Jayden: The famed pirate-fighting hero who defeated the Dark Pirate Stevens.
• Naeva: Noble lady of Gilder, ward of General Granville, and bride-to-be of Prince Harmon.
• Rosencrantz: A noble of the palace guard, an immigrant of Denmark who had fled the political troubles there.

The Golden Pegasus Home for Retired Adventurers

Facilitator:
Idiotsavant

The Company of the Argent Banner were a bold band of adventurers led by the Elven Warrior-Mage Quendalon. The Company included a mighty dwarven warrior by the name of Grundel Hammerfist, a Norlander Swordsman called Lars Larson, Brother Thomas- a gentle follower of St Trilby, Petunia Lightfingers - a halfling treasure-finder, the enigmatic wizard Tiberious and his faithful familiar Ermintrude. While the exploits of these intrepid adventurers were many, the most famous (and also the most profitable) was the raid on the temple of the Demon-Lord Moglor.

However, old-age waits for no man, and after fifty years on the road many of the Company decided it was time to retire. Quendalon the Elf, being less affected by the ravages of time decided to start a retirement home, and out of generosity he offered to let his former companions dwell there free of charge. That is how you came the call "The Golden Pegasus" your home.

When the Dark is Gone

Facilitator:
AhGoodTheSea

Imagine the children in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. They visited a magical land, fought battles alongside talking animals and centaurs and won a war against a powerful and evil enemy. Then they returned home, no-one would believe them and they were back to war time rations and maths homework.
What does that feel like?
How do you live with the memories of what you saw?
Did Edmund drown his sorrows in alcohol and drugs, did Lucy vent her repressed rage by being violent towards her loving husband?
Did they end up in therapy?

The players in this game are all Clients in a real-world, modern day setting undergoing group therapy. They all have serious psychological disorders which are damaging them and those closest to them. Everyone has come to the therapy session as a final attempt to get their lives back on track.

The Clients have all repressed memories of a magical world that they visited often in their school summer holidays. Many things happened in that far away land and those repressed memories hold the key as to why the Clients have all self-destructed so spectacularly in the years since. Players will build up and create the memories of what happened in that world; uncover the events that scarred them and work to resolve them to allow each client to heal.
