It is 2003; the eve of war. The United States has accused Iraq of secretly conducting a programme to produce weapons of mass destruction, and the world watches as the final 48 hour deadline for the surrender of Saddam Hussein and his sons approaches. A small group of journalists will be in the vanguard of the invasion. Eager to substantiate its claims to the press, the U.S. military plans to reveal one of Saddam’s secret weapons facilities, deep in the Iraqi desert. What they find, however, may unleash an ancient evil onto the world, causing massive destruction and suffering on a scale far greater than anyone had imagined…

4. Road Trip - leave the city behind for a getaway to an isolated mountain cabin.
5. Hard Time - a science fiction scenario set on a state of the art prison facility orbiting Phobos, a moon of Mars.

Mystic Empyrean - The Steam Vaults of Nitar

You are an Eidolon, set apart from the other sentients by your drive and clarity of self awareness. You wear your soul on the outside, granting you immortality and wonderous but strange abilities at the cost of being true to yourself.
You have travelled to Nitar following rumours that a shard of the Cornerstone of the world is hidden there. If true it may contain a chance to change the world and bring it at least one step closer to being saved from the encroachine Aether.

Mystic Empyrean is a brand new game that relies on several story telling systems that I have not seen before. If you enjoy open games that encourage narrative and free-form resolution within the constraints of the games mechanics this game may be for you. If you would like to focus on skill lists and hit points it probably isn't.

This particular scenario is in a world of steampunk, using the games preview adventure, mainly because of the pretty art that came with it.

Sundown

It’s easy to feel alone as the shadows gather and the pale moon rises over the High Plains. The Cherokee say that on nights like this, the cold wind from the prairie has a mind of its own – a malignant chill, born of the darkness, which eats at your warmth, and steals all compassion.

It was a night like that when Barton Duvall rode into Tombstone. A night like that when they found what was left of little Alina Hundle –the few sad remains, barely recognizable, that Barton had left for her family to bury. And, it was a night like that when you realised that justice was more than a word bandied around by fearful shopkeepers – it was a necessity.

The year is 1880, and the posse is forming…

Sundown is a character-driven scenario of the old-west written to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Call of Cthulhu. It was originally run at Fright Night 5.

Succession

Vito's been shot. His blood splatters your faces and hands as you apply pressure, desperate for the Capofamiglia to hold on just a bit longer, until the ambulance can get here. The gunmen were well armed, and well informed, hitting him leaving his private apartment on the way to the sit-down: there was nothing you could do. It was lucky that more of you weren't caught in the flying death.

The sirens approach, but his blood covers the curb, his breath is ragged. Vito is gone.

The king is dead, and your enemies will act swiftly. Some for power, some for revenge, some simply seeking to take what's yours. Tonight a wave of blood and retribution will flow into the streets, and the new king will be coronated in blood.

- This is a non-linear game with no pre-determined outcomes or plot path: the decisions the characters make will determine entirely what happens in the game.
- Characters will be partly player generated via a short targeted questionnaire, to isolate the possibilities of most interest in this situation
- Intra-party conflict is expected, as those with different agendas determine who's way is right, and who will be left bleeding
