Legacy of the Dragons

Facilitator:
Conan McKegg

"In a time that is no longer a time, six warriors fought to save not just our world but all of time itself. Hong Kong blazed as all of history converged on a single point and the Dragons battled to save us all. The battle was brutal and nearly destroyed everything. But when it was over the world was safe. And nobody remembers them because the war never happened..."

In Modern Hong Kong a group of unlikely heroes are about to cross paths and discover the legacy of a war that never happened. Called from across time and space, these heroes have found gateways of power that all lead to Hong Kong in the modern age. But these are not blank slate heroes. They all have their own histories. Enemies. Agendas.

Yet the turn of fate is about to show them that they are part of something bigger. A conspiracy that has survived a war that changed time and reality at its core. Secret factions have been manoeuvring to claim the power of the sites and renew the shadow war that nearly destroyed the world.

Players will get to select from 32 character options, build some of their own history and experience a scenario that will play differently each time based on the combination of characters. Will you be a scrappy kid from the modern day who teams up with an ancient shapeshifting monster lost in time? Or will you be a ghost from the past who has teamed up with a cybernetic warrior from the future?

Feng Shui is a fast paced action game that emulates the classic Hong Kong Action films from Police Story through Hero to Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, as well as embracing classic films like Big Trouble in Little China.

Are you ready to take up the legacy of the Dragons?

LARP by Andrea Landaker

This story takes place in the far future, where commerce and intrigue between alien and human worlds have become commonplace. This is partly as a result of the humans' contact with aliens called the Tonnin, who are the only civilization to have mastered faster-than-light travel.

New routes of trade have also brought new conflicts, however. The Khetani, an insectoid race who value efficiency and cohesiveness, have attacked the amphibious Aquecians. The Aquecians only have one planet, the watery world of Aquecia, but it is located in a strategic spot for trade between the Khetani and humans. When they wouldn't make room at their spaceport for the number of ships the Khetani requested, the Khetani decided to make room by clearing away some old Aquecian ships and taking control of the spaceport. The Aquecians were shocked at this barbaric behavior, as they pride themselves on their ability to get along and foster peace. The Khetani, on the other hand, can't understand why the Aquecians cared so much about the loss of a few old ships when the spaceport can now be used much more efficiently.

The humans currently enjoy peaceful relations with all the aliens they know of, and are determined not to take sides or get involved in other races' conflicts. Humans are mainly interested in the peaceful trade of ideas, goods, and science, and have their own problems on Earth to worry about.

This story takes place aboard the Tonnin-piloted shuttle “Redshift”, headed from Earth to the Aquecian spaceport now under Khetani control. After several hours in hyperspace, the destination is in sight.

How will the four different races aboard the Redshift resolve their differences?

Far from Earth in the distant arm of the equinox system the prisoner starship “Purgatory 13” has suffered severe system and hardware damage after what should have been a standard docking procedure that went wrong!

Purgatory 13's main computer was forced into quick action, and attempted to place the ship into a stable orbit around the Abraxus prison planet, however venting gases and system failures are slowly forcing a descent towards the atmosphere of Abraxus threatening not only the lives of ships crew, but also the lives of the prisoners!

Purgatory 13 attempted a reboot to correct himself, but the computer lost control of the almost all ship systems and stalled (blue screen!). The lock down of prison quarters started to fail sporadically and some the “meanest sons of bitches” destined for prison… are set free!

This rollercoaster scenario pits the (Upstanding Ship Crew) VS (Mean “Son of a Bitch” Prisoners) in a fight to gain control not only the Purgatory 13… But their lives!

With everything going so wrong… Who will be victor?!?
